Back for its fifth year, The Dance Trail presents new short works by local choreographers and dancers. Set along Brighton’s hidden gems of green city and urban city space, the trail presents local professional and emerging dance artists with the unique opportunity to showcase short, site-specific pieces for outdoor locations, as part of Brighton Fringe Festival 2019.

We are looking for artists to create, rework or showcase a piece in this year’s Dance Trail, inspired by the theme Inside/Outside. The opportunity is open to anyone in the Sussex area – students and professionals.

Initially, we are looking for choreographers or dance groups but may also need dancers should the choreographer not have sourced their own already.

The trail takes place on Saturday 18 May at 4pm and again on Sunday 19 May at 1pm. You /your group would need to be available for these two days and in the week leading up to the trail for rehearsals. The meeting point is opposite St Bartholomew’s Church, more information about the site will be given to artists once they have been selected.
